Text: Jer 29:10-11; Rev 5:10
God told Jeremiah that after the 70 years of exile is completed in Babylon, He will visit Israel to fulfill his great works and thoughts towards them. The situation you are going through right now may not be pleasant, but God says you are not going to remain in it forever. There is surely an end to it and God will visit you to return you to His original intention, which is your expected end. As a child of God, you are not just ordained to operate in the office of a priest, but to reign with the authority of a king here on earth. You are ordained to take charge over circumstances and to get the best of your destiny. Optimising your destiny, therefore, means to get to the zenith and to achieve maximum efficiency. A lot of people are at a far cry from what God has ordained them to be. Time is running out and you cannot afford to die unfulfilled.
God never makes mistakes. He is a God of purpose. Wherever He places you, He expects you to make impact. It takes time to fulfill purpose, so, stop wasting your time on the frivolities of life or else you will find yourself operating behind God’s prophetic agenda for your life. Focus your time on the relevant things that can move you forward in life. If God ordained you to be a multi-billionaire, it is for a purpose, so that, you can support kingdom promoting projects, be a blessing to your family and the less-privileged around you. You must, therefore, start working and developing principles towards being a billionaire. Stop wasting your time and youthful strength.
Dr. Myles Munroe once said that the richest place in the world today is the cemetery, because a lot of people die with their potential. Every gifting that God has given to you is for you to be a blessing to the world. When God sees a need in a place, He sends the right person there, so, don’t be a failure by refusing to fulfill your purpose where you are. It could be in your church, community, office or even school as a student.
This is the right time to discover your purpose and make good use of your time. Eccl.12:1 says, you should remember your creator when you are still young before the evil days come when you can no longer have zeal and strength to serve Him. I have personally served in different units of the church in my early days and it was always a blessing to all while it lasted. I have been the head of security, standing at the gate in every service. I have also worked in the sanctuary-keeping department, specifically attached to the toilets and I did it with all joy and fulfillment. In all of these, I was also in charge of the editorial team, writing articles for the church bulletin, which was a great blessing and nourishment to so many readers within and outside the church. Identify your gift and passion and make use of it wherever God has placed you. Do not let anything hinder you, not even your status and God will reward you richly in Jesus’ name.

Identifying your destiny location – Part 2
John Okene<br />
If you are in the wrong location, you will struggle fruitlessly in life. You will also miss your provisions in life because God only provides for someone if He finds him/her at the location He wants him/her to be. Certain breakthroughs are attached to a particular location and you can’t get them if you are not there. Some persons have relocated their businesses to particular locations because they think others are making it there, but it is not always so. Let God direct you to the place of your blessing. You can live in a house as a tenant for over 20 years without making anything out of life, but the moment you relocate, God will begin to bless you. Your location in life determines your allocation. You have to be where you should be to become the person you are created to be. Your location determines whom you see and who sees you.
There is a location for training and another for manifestation. There are also certain blessings, spiritual experiences, messages and breakthroughs that you cannot receive until you are in a particular location and at a specific time. In the journey of life, the issue of location is vital. Until you get to the right location, you cannot get the right result, no matter how smart you are. In fact, you can experience closed heaven if you are in the wrong location. One of the master keys to success is being at the right place at the right time, day and year, and also with the right people. Your location also determines the type of friends you keep and the people you associate with. This in effect, determines how far you can go in life.
If you miss your location, you can miss your destiny. Every investment you make at the wrong location is a waste of time and energy. Everything about your destiny has a geography attached to it and there is a spiritual and physical side of the geography too. About 16.99 per cent of success is based on correct location, while a major cause of failure is as a result of wrong location. Certain things will happen to you if you are in the wrong location. You will become a shadow of what God wants you to be. You will have internal suppressors and become spiritually oppressed. You will also not know the kind of person that you are ordained to be. If you are in the wrong church or place of worship, for instance, you can be given false prophecies that will make you a confused person in life.
Again, being in a wrong location will make one to sing the Lord’s song in a strange land. God will then ask you, why sing His song in a foreign land? In a wrong location, your original life can be asleep or even dead.
Men can remotely control your life from afar and situations will dictate what is happening in your life.
Finally, the wrong location can cost you your life as we see in the case of Sisera in Judges 4:17-21. May God open your eyes for you to know your destiny location in Jesus’ name.

Text: Jeremiah 18:2; Gen. 12:1-3.
There are certain questions you must ask yourself in life in order to properly assess if you are on the pathway to success. The first of such questions is: “Where does God want me to be at a time like this?” Everyman’s journey to destiny comes in stages; it is not a one-station affair. When your stay at Point A expires, you have to move on to Point B and so on until you arrive at your final destination. In our Bible passage, Abraham started the first stage of his life from his community, but did not experience the fulness of God’s blessings until God called him out of his father’s house to his destiny location. Also, Joseph understood God’s purpose for his life and so made the best use of every location he found himself. He moved from Potiphar’s house to prison and finally arrived at the palace.
The second question is: “Am I in the place where my provision is?” God will only sustain you where He has called you to be and so, if you are in the wrong location you will run dry very fast.
Thirdly, “am I busy, but not effective?” The beautiful thing about being effective is that it gives you your desired goal. A lot of people are so busy in life, today, yet without expected result. Their life is full of noise from activities, but they are actually not moving forward at all. May every effort you put in life move you to your desired destination in Jesus’ name.
In life and destiny location, there is no assumption. You have to be sure where God wants you to be and so the fourth question is: “Am I living in assumptions?”
Finally, you should ask yourself: “Am I living by trial and error?” Those who do so end up in frustration. Some people jump from one business, profession or relationship to another. God can prosper you in what he has called you to do even when other people fail in it. Just remain focused, challenges may come, but God will give you direction.
There are different ways to identify your destiny location. Divine revelation in the place of prayers is one of them, Hbk. 2:1-3. Joseph went through a difficult process before arriving at the palace, but in all of it, he had a divine revelation of what God was doing in his life. Divine provision is another means of identifying your destiny location. God can give you great and open doors in such location. Thirdly, you can get it directly and audibly from the word of God or through his prophets. You can also get confirmation by the mouth of two or three witnesses, 2 Corinth. 13:1.
Again, you can identify your destiny location by desire or a strong burden. This desire from God is, however, different from the desires of the flesh. Moses was nourished till full age under the affluence and luxuries of Pharaoh’s house, but a time came when he had a strong burden to visit his real family, the Israelites, whom God had ordained him to deliver.
Another sign that you are in your destiny location is when you have a strong inner peace, Phil. 4:7. Finally, you experience an inner witness within you. In the issues of destiny decisions learn to pray to God for confirmation, don’t depend alone on your outward feelings. You need knowledge and God’s direction. Such crucial destiny decisions include who to marry, where to fellowship, career choice, place of residence or where to settle down and raise your family. May you not land in the wrong location in Jesus’ name.

Overcoming the enemies of destiny – Part 2
By John Okene
05 March 2023 | 1:44 am
The enemy has different weapons it can use against one’s destiny. Fear is one of them; it is Satan’s main weapon. It is a spiritual force that begins inside of you. It is highly destructive because it robs one of his/her faith and peace. It makes one to focus on the circumstances, instead of God’s word. Sin is the second weapon. God will never tempt you to do wrong. In fact, He has given you every tool you need to resist the devil, and make him flee from you. The devil tempts you to sin and no one is exempted from it. “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’, for God cannot be tempted by evil nor does He himself tempt anyone,” James 1:13.
Another weapon used against one’s destiny is satanic dreams, Matt. 13:25. This ranges from evil visitation or being pressed in the dream, eating or having sex, being pursued by men, masquerades or strange creatures. Others are seeing oneself in your former house or school, writing exams, being trapped in an old house, falling from a height or even being buried. All of these can be used to manipulate one’s destiny. Some of these experiences come when you are close to a major breakthrough and suddenly you lose it, making you to struggle and become stagnated in life. Whenever you have such dreams don’t see it as normal, you need to rise up in prayers to cancel them because the spiritual controls the physical.
Other weapons that are in great used are foundational issues, evil covenants, curses and evil dedications. If there are underlying foundational issues or negative family patterns flowing in your bloodline, then there is a limit as to how far you can go in life. You need to do a research into your family to know which is applicable to you, so that you can deal with it.
Lastly, the enemies use the weapon of ignorance to truncate the destinies of men. Isa. 5:13 tells us that men are taken into captivity because they lack knowledge. Ignorance is likened to darkness. Your level of knowledge is a reflection of your level of illumination. Ignorance gives Satan advantage over men, 2 Cor. 2:11.
To overcome the enemies of your destiny, you must resist them, James 4:7. This simply means that you should stand your ground. Secondly, submit yourself to God’s authority over you (Heb. 13:17). Obey your spiritual leaders who have been given watch over your soul because they will give account of you and they want to do it with joy and not of a grief heart.
Again, put on the whole armour of God. This means to be equipped and understand the weapons available to you. • Rev. John Okene, Divine Touch Int’l Ministries, Warri, Delta State. dtimchurch@gmail.com. Prayer line: +2348135952623
As a child of God, you should be ever ready because you are in a constant spiritual battle. Feed daily on the word of God; it is your sword. Take time to study and meditate on it as you engage in any warfare. From the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, so, it is only the violent people who can take it as a prize, Matt. 11:12. These steps, however, will not be effective if you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ. Please do so now. May all those who have vowed that you will not fulfill your destiny receive the judgement of God today in Jesus’ name.

Battle for the vehicle of destiny – Part 3
By John Okene
19 June 2022 | 4:00 am

When the disciples of Jesus were faced with storm on the sea, it was meant to cause their boat to capsize, to discourage them from their journey or at worse totally destroy or vandalise the boat. Another way, therefore, that the enemy can attack a man’s vehicle of destiny is by vandalising it. This could be done by removing the essential part, for instance, Daniel, who had the gift of revelation, which was the vehicle that moved him to the place of relevance in Babylon. If this gift was taken from him and he lost his vision how could he have arrived at his destiny. May every attack against your vehicle of destiny be met with frustration in Jesus name. Again, the enemy can divert the vehicle of destiny of a man by making him to go in the wrong direction.
Some people have diverted from their main purpose to pursue something else in life. If you are primarily called to be a renowned preacher of the undiluted word of God and you deviate into gospel music, you may do quite well in singing with much effort but you will find yourself struggling to get to the place of relevance. You may yet never arrive at your place of destiny because your vehicle has been diverted. Your journey to destiny will be smoother, easier and faster if you are on the right track. If this explains your situation today, may God help you to retrace your steps in the right direction in Jesus name.
It is important for us to understand how the devil achieves his agenda against one’s vehicle of destiny. First of all, he can use household enemies. Micah 7:6 says, “A man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” In Genesis 37:17-20, Joseph had a dream, which was meant to take him to his pace of destiny but when his brothers heard the dream, they connived against him to stop him. Be careful who you share your dreams with because they can do anything to frustrate it. They are closer to you than you imagine in your marriage, business, job and even ministry. Another agent of the devil is family strongman; these are principalities and powers. They are like the king Uzziah who put everyone on hold or in a particular pattern to follow. They take hold of the steering of every member of that family and control it to a wrong direction. This explains why you see in some families, no one is able to achieve greatness in life. They all die unfulfilled after years of toiling and struggling. Matthew 12:29 says, “you cannot enter the house of a strongman and carry his goods without first binding him.” If you must make progress in such a family, then you must be ready to deal with the family strongman. Isaiah, for many years could not move forward in his ministry until king Uzziah died. That was when he saw the glory of God. May God expose and disgrace every family strongman that is attacking your vehicle of destiny in Jesus name. The devil can also use wrong association to attack your vehicle of destiny. You must be careful who you associate with because some can cause you to be stagnated or even die untimely.
In 2 Sam. 13:3-28, Amnon, the son of David had a friend called Jonadab who was crafty in nature and encouraged him to sleep with his half-sister, Tamar. When Absalom, the brother of Tamar heard of it, he never forgave him until he killed him two years after. Some people have lost their marriages, jobs and businesses because of friends. Wrong association can truncate the vehicle of your destiny.
Lastly, the devil can use curses to truncate your vehicle as in the case of Reuben in Genesis 49:3-4 and 1Chron. 5:1. The birthright was taken from him and the one ordained to be first became last. This is an error according to Eccl. 10:5,7. Curses can cause you to trek to your destiny instead of cruising in your vehicle. I decree to you, no more trekking, Jesus is taking over your vehicle of destiny today, as you surrender your life to Jesus now!
