Every family has an evil giant that the enemy has placed there. He is the strongman of the family. In Matthew 12:29, Jesus acknowledges the existence of a strongman in a house. He is the principality there: that is the one in-charge. He is the principal demon or ruler spirit in that family. He gives order and maintains the status quo in the family. He controls the familiar spirit who is the minister of information in the family. The familiar spirit keeps family records and history and releases it to witch doctors and false prophets, which they use to prophesy to you. Most times people wonder how they get to know so much about them. These evil powers in the family raise and recruit people with witchcraft spirit to execute their evil agenda. May every witchcraft in your family receive the fire of judgement today in Jesus’ name.
Again, the strongman is the gatekeeper of the family. He controls what comes in and what goes out. He also determines the time of every activity. In a family, for instance, the strongman could decide that there will be no payment of bride price. It is seen as contraband. So, if a suitor is coming for a bride in that family, the strongman will not open for him in the spirit realm. The powers can stir up some problems to chase the suitor away physically. If he tries to go against them without a spiritual understanding of what is on ground, they could kill him. This explains why some ladies could suffer series of disappointments in relationship and even death of suitors. In some other cases, the gatekeeper could allow marriage, but determines a certain age before they open the door. In such families people may only get married after 50 years of age or more. For some others, people struggle till old age before tasting of a little wealth, while some make it early in life but gradually lose everything. The gatekeepers can also decide that no male child is born into the family and sometimes cause a general delay in child bearing. You must rise against them.
Ps. 24:6-10 says, we are a generation that seek the face of God to put an end to this evil. They are ancient powers that have existed unchallenged. They are everlasting doors that have shut out the glory of men. But as we rise against them, backed up by our God who is Mighty in battle, the heads of the people will be lifted up in Jesus’ name. May every demonic gatekeeper of your father’s house be replaced, today, by God’s angel of light.
Understand that in some cases, our grandfathers invited these demonic gatekeepers into the family in a bid to get protection for the family. Some of you are under protection, but it is not from God. It is a demonic being/presence that follows you about, but it also prevents you from getting your breakthrough in life. Your grandfathers brought them in ignorance to protect the family from untimely death.

And so, there was a demonic trade by barter to give long life in exchange for poverty, delayed breakthrough and non-achievement. If one man introduced these evil gatemen, another man can dislodge them and replace them with the angels of God. You can stand as an authority figure for your family today (Deut. 30:19).

The giants in your family, also known as the strong man in your father’s house, can take different forms. They could be female demonic agents or witches in the family; witch doctors, marine worshippers or evil consultants. They are personalities, but demonic in nature.
There are cases of such persons in some families who even declare openly and boastfully that they are responsible for the predicament of some family members. In one of our deliverance services, the mother-in-law of a lady boasted that she had taken the name of the lady to seven altars to ensure that she would suffer and never have a child in her marriage. What a great wickedness, to think that even her own son who was married to this lady was also affected. We handed this witch of a woman over to God in the place of prayers and not too long, God visited her. She slept one night and never woke up.
Suddenly, the eyes of her son who had been very ignorant, became open and he started realizing all the evil intentions and activities of his mother against his marriage. Praise be to God, today his marriage is blessed with children and their joy is restored. The delays and battles of over 15 years were terminated. God said in Isa. 49:25 that he will contend with those that contend with us and He will save our children. May God release military angels to walk through the camp of your enemies tonight. There shall be great massacre and weeping for your enemies in Jesus’ name.
The second form of the strong man is the family deity or demon idol. This is what your grandfathers worshipped in the past. They could appear to you in your dream like a giant or dwarf. In some cases, they could be married to every member of the family and so lay claim of ownership over them. If your parents served them, they certainly would have dedicated all their children to them. By implication, you have become their property.
Again, the strongman can take the form of a spirit spouse either from your family deity or another source. If you have had sexual relations with a demon possessed person, the spirit can begin to manifest in your life, as a spirit wife or husband. A lady who cried to us in one of our deliverance services said the spirit husband in her life was so terrible and violent that he would tear off her clothes and rape her every night. She would wake up every morning exhausted and with physical pains. She said it all started when she got married to a man some years past. When she discovered that he was occultic and demonic, she ran away from the marriage, but the man vowed that he would never leave her alone. She had gone to so many places for solution all to no avail until she came for our deliverance service. After running her through series of intense deliverance, she was totally set free. Today, she has remarried and they are blessed with children. Another form of the strongman is the marine deity.

Another form of the strongman is the marine deity. This power is usually introduced into families where their parents have been marine worshippers. The serpentine spirit is also another form. This could be a serpent under the water or an ancient serpent in a shrine where the family or community go to worship. It can manifest in your dream like seeing snakes around you. It could also come as a dragon or crocodile to attack or form a demonic protector around you.
There are certain facts we need to know about the strongman. He has an armoury, which he trusts so much and there are different weapons he uses against believers. His greatest weapon is death, but thank God for sending Christ to die for us, so, we cannot die untimely.
Thirdly, he has a palace with a modernised and organised system. In this palace, he keeps his goods. These are goods, which he took from your grandfathers in their ignorance and helplessness. Some of your great grandfathers struggled all their life and yet died in poverty because the strongman had taken their prosperity. The Israelites worked in Egypt for 430 years without payment, but when they were leaving, God handed over the wealth of the Egyptians to them. They became multi-millionaires overnight; that is, they got their payment and that of their fathers in arrears. I decree to you today that every blessing that your family line has lost to the strongman will come to you in arrears in Jesus’ name.
Another fact about the strongman is that he is defeatable. Rm. 16:20 says: “God will crush Satan under your feet.” Lk. 10:19 says that you have been given power to overcome your enemies. Arise today in the place of prayers and begin to exercise your authority over the strongman of your family. Your victory is sure because it has been secured over 2000 years ago.

The familiar spirit is the second in command in the family.Leviticus 20:27 “A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them.”
The word familiar spirit is taken from the word familiar meaning, “is used to you”The familiar spirit is called a minister of information in the family. He takes record of information.He has all the records of the family because he has been there right from years. He is in charge of information, he is a record keeper. He keeps the record of offence and places the judgment.
Acts 16:16, Jeremiah 22:30, Col 2:14, Jeremiah 22:29-30.
He is also called the spirit of divination.
They also keep records of God’s prophecy concerning a family and look for possible ways to stop the prophecy from coming to pass in the lives of members of that family. For example, there was a prophecy concerning the birth of Moses and in order to kill Moses, they killed more than 4000 children of his age but God kept him alive, right in Pharaoh’s palace and they couldn’t see him to kill.
False prophets use familiar spirit to operate. The familiar spirit is the minister of information. This spirit has been there for thousands of years in the family and knows everything about the family because he has the record.
I went to a village to minister, and it was told that a woman was buried alive at the center of the village. This was done due to abject poverty experienced in that village many year back and they decided to seek temporary solution. They were told to sacrifice a woman to the gods to bring prosperity to the village. While the woman was dying she pronounced a curse that they will never prosper, that there will be chaos in the village and fighting will not cease from them. Years later, crude oil was discovered in that village, still there was no prosperity. The prosperity was there all this while but they were not aware of it, and even when it was discovered they couldn’t enjoy it. There was constant bloodshed as a result of communal conflicts. The familiar spirit keeps the record of the offence and documents it. As a result, there was an evil pronouncement on them that if they have money they will never enjoy it. Anybody from that village that tries to succeed will fail because the familiar spirit will always enforce the record.
There are records that need to be destroyed, for you to get your complete deliverance. (Colossians 2:14). Do you know that every family has a list of the members? There is an archive where the names of every member of your family is. “Wherever your name is, on that list, it will catch fire in Jesus name.
In Jeremiah 22:29-30, the earth was commanded to write that the man will not have a child, and will not prosper in all his days, meaning his children will be childless. So anyone that comes from that linage after him, will be barren. Anytime they are due for promotion, someone else will take it.
The familiar spirits keep these evil records and use it against the family, to enforce it. I have seen a lady who sewed four different wedding gowns, for four consecutive relationships, yet no wedding. At the edge of wedding, the men involved will suddenly change their mind and say no marriage. Every information of yours, all the wrong you did, (when you committed fornication or adultery, stole, told lies etc.) they have it in their archive.
